At noon on January 19, 2011, as Chinese Communist Party leader Hu Jintao is welcomed by US President Obama at the White House, groups of opposed will have a rally protesting the Chinese Communist regime's human rights abuses, with many excellent speeches.  The location will be on the sidewalks of Pennsylvania Avenue NW between 15 and 17th streets, right north of the White House security fence.  Featured speakers represent groups include but not limited: Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition, Asia Democracy Coalition, Tibet Youth Congress, Students for a Free Tibet, National Committee for Democratic Party of China, China Support Network, etc.

Later on, these groups will follow the unwelcome guests of the Communist regime to the State Department with a demonstration facing the State Department on C Street between 21st and 23rd street in Washington DC NW.  They will then come back to the same location on Pennsylvania Ave just north of the White House fence around 5pm, in time to greet the American business CEO's who prefer doing business in China due to cheap labor who do not have the essential workers' rights and American politicians who want to greet the leaders of the Communist Party.

News briefing for demonstrations on Jan. 18, 2011

In the afternoon and evening of Jan. 18, 2011, right before Chinese Communist leader Hu Jintao attended a small dinner party hosted by US President Obama at the White House, there were demonstrations on Pennsylvania Avenue right north of the White House.  Various opposition groups and religious groups made their protests demanding the Chinese government to respect human rights, release political prisoners, and stop persecution against Falun Gong practitioners and ethnic groups.  These protesters held banners, chanted slogans, and even had a street performance of masks to tell of the suppression of the Chinese Communist Party and the ultimate defeat of its evil by the people.  When the motorcades carrying Hu Jintao etc. entered the White House from the back door in the dark, the protest reached its peak.

Participants in the protests this evening included members of the Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition, Asia Democracy Alliance, Tibet Youth Congress, Students for a Free Tibet, and Falun Gong practitioners.  The protesters and the police cooperated well without any unpleasant event happening.
