Jingsheng Attends Celebration of Human Freedom of the George W. Bush
Presidential Center and Receives Honors
On
May 15, 2012, Wei Jingsheng and members of the Wei Jingsheng Foundation were
invited to attend the "Celebrate Human Freedom" event in Washington
DC, organized by the George W. Bush Presidential Center.
President
G. W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush hosted the event which honored freedom heroes include
Wei Jingsheng and promoted the Freedom Collection of the George W. Bush
Presidential Center. Another
Chinese who also was honored there was Bob Fu, a good friend of President and
Mrs. Bush. Aung San Suu Kyi joined
the event via video.
Available
online at www.FreedomCollection.org, the Freedom Collection uses video
interviews to document the personal stories of brave men and women who have led
or participated in freedom movements from the 20th century to the present day. It also includes a physical archive
containing documents and artifacts from major freedom movements
Freedom
advocates from around the world whose stories are part of the Freedom
Collection also attended a VIP session with President and Mrs. Bush. They
included: Ammar Abdulhamid of Syria; Rodrigo Diamanti of Venezuela; Marcel
Granier of Venezuela; Normando Hernandez of Cuba; Cristal-Montanez Baylor of
Venezuela; Ahmed Samih of Egypt; Mohsen Sazegara of Iran; Doan Viet Hoat of
Vietnam; and Cheery Zahau of Burma.
Other
members of the Wei Jingsheng Foundation also attended the event, including:
Wang Haiyan, a board member; Huang Ciping, the executive director; and Yin
Gang, a volunteer.

魏京生应邀参加小布什总统中心主办的庆祝人类自由活动并受赞誉
2012年5月15日，魏京生先生及魏京生基金会的部分成员应邀参加小布什总统中心在美国首都华盛顿主办的庆祝人类自由活动。
小布什总统及夫人主持了这次赞誉包括魏京生在内的为自由而战的英雄们的活动。这次活动还宣传了小布什总统中心的自由汇集。另一位当场受到赞誉的中国人是小布什总统及夫人的好朋友傅希秋先生。昂山素季通过视频也参加了这次活动。
小布什总统中心的自由汇集已经上网。网址是： www.FreedomCollection.org, 它以录像采访的形式来讲述20世纪至今参与自由运动的勇敢人们的个人故事。它还包括重大自由运动的文件和实物。
