Wei Jingsheng Talks about the Impact of the Wang Lijun and Chen Guangcheng cases against the Rule of the Chinese Communist Regime on Voice of America's Call-in Program "Issues and Opinions"

Recently there have been a few events of Chinese intrusions into the U.S. Embassy and consulate seeking safety and fairness.  Regardless if it was the high government official Wang Lijun, or the common person Chen Guangcheng, they have taken actions which display their distrust of the Chinese government, in contrast to their trust and longing for the U.S. Institutes in China.   Commentators believe that these events have led to serious political consequences in China and have left shadows in the hearts of many Chinese people, which resulted in a great impact and challenge against the Chinese government's credibility and reputation.

On April 12, 2012, Mr. Wei Jingsheng, chairman of the Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition, was invited to appear at VOA's call-in program "Issues and Opinions" to talk about this issue.  The program was hosted by Xu Bo of VOA, and attended by senior editor of VOA, Bao Shen, as well.  The program was broadcast via TV, radio and through the Internet.
