Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition Holds a Working Meeting in The Hague, Netherlands

On August 16, 2015, the Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition held a working meeting in The Hague, Netherlands. OCDC representatives of the European countries attended the meeting. This meeting was presided over by the OCDC chairman, Wei Jingsheng himself. Attendees discussed and analyzed the current political and economic situation in China, in a warm yet exciting atmosphere. Finally, the meeting reached a consensus on the following two points.

First, we firmly oppose the Chinese Communist government's way of passing the economic losses to the Chinese people through manipulation of the stock market and devaluation of the Chinese currency RMB.

Second, the Chinese Communist Party has been inciting and manipulating nationalist sentiment in China. It provokes territorial disputes with other countries and intensifies ethnic conflicts within China. It has been using nationalism as a tool to maintain its rule. We resolutely oppose this kind of nationalism and obscurantism by the Communist Party. We believe that democracy in China is a necessary condition for solving territorial disputes outside and ethnic conflicts inside China.

中国民主运动海外联席会议在荷兰海牙召开欧洲工作会议

2015年8月16日，中国民主运动海外联席会议在荷兰海牙召开了欧洲工作会议。联席会议欧洲各国各分部代表出席了工作会议。本次会议由联席会议主席魏京生亲自主持。与会代表就目前中国政经形势分析讨论气氛热烈，你争我辩，场面火爆，最后会议就以下两点达成共识。

一：我们坚决反对中共利用操纵股市和人民币贬值等手段转嫁经济损失给老百姓。

二：中共煽动和操纵民族主义情绪，对外挑起领土海疆争端，对内激化民族矛盾，将民族主义作为维系其统治的工具。我们坚决反对这种民族主义，反对中共的愚民政策。我们认为中国民主化是解决对外领土争端、对内民族矛盾的必要条件。
