The Victory of the Chinese Australians Is Also the Victory of the Australian Values

For the past more than one month, Chinese Australians of the pro-democracy groups, Falun Gong groups and non-political organizations had fought a tit for tat against the pro-Communist Chinese groups in Australia. The announcement by the Sydney and Melbourne city governments of the cancellation of the concerts to commemorate Mao Zedong, is a sign that they have achieved initial success.

It began as the pro-communist groups in Australia were so arrogant that they even brazenly wanted to hold concerts in the name of commemorating tyrant Mao Zedong. These events were a challenge to the values of democracy and freedom held by all the Australians, and also a challenge to all the Australians, as well as the majority Chinese who escaped from the Communist tyranny and yearn for freedom and democracy.

This arrogant challenge angered the Australian people. Led by the local Chinese, they set off a wave of protests and opposition. The protests included Australian politicians with conscience, thus prompting the Australian government to give the order, and both city governments of Sydney and Melbourne to take action to cancel this clown farce.

Interestingly, the organizers of this farce seemed to be beaten senseless and did not know how to respond. The reason they actually came up was it may have lead to violent conflict so and so. In fact, Australia's pro-democracy groups and the Falun Gong practitioners have always followed the values of Australian society. They follow the peaceful, rational, and non-violent principles during the political struggle. Only these pro-Communist groups supported by the money of the Chinese Communist regime would believe in the violence struggle of Mao Zedong.

It was said that they were indeed ready to use violence to harass the protesters. In previous protests, the pro-communist groups indeed engaged in small-scale violent harassment, which was tolerated by the Australian police. These harassments were recorded by the Australian media. At that time, the then Australian prime minister's office and parliament were controlled by big capitalists. They were quite pro-Communist. Their then Prime Minister now serves as the president of a pro-Communist think tank in New York that is sponsored by a big Capitalist group. Thus one could tell that indeed "the wind from the East overcomes the wind from the West" (quotation of Dream of Red Mansion by Mao Zedong). The organizations and ideology of the Communist Party has invaded the democratic Australia in a big way.

With such a political background, the pro-Communist groups dared to be so arrogant, to blatantly commemorate the biggest tyrant of this world. Even in Beijing, they did not dare to be so blatant when they commemorated the tyrant, but used the cover of hiding the title of the concerts. Even though, it was immediately met with collective protests from the high level of the Communist officials to the grassroots people. To the end, no one dared to take responsibility, and they had to pass the buck to each other. But in Australia they dared to unequivocally commemorate the tyrant openly, which can only illustrate that the reactionary role played by the global capital has gone beyond what the Communist Party can do itself.

The former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd is the most standard case. When we met the first time in the Australian Parliament at the end of the 1990's, he was just an ordinary Member of Parliament. He took out and showed me his honors thesis triumphantly. The title of that almost two-inch-thick thesis was "Wei Jingsheng during the Democracy Wall Period." Without a question, till then he was a staunch democrat and very anti-communist.

As he transformed from a minor Member of Parliament to the Prime Minister of Australia, he changed. What he did and how he acted have all illustrated himself as an agent for Beijing, an unprecedented pro-Communist Prime Minister of Australia. If he could be re-elected as Putin was, one may expect that Australia would be converted into a new member of the Communist camp.

People have asked me if he really wrote an honors thesis titled "Wei Jingsheng"? Why did he become so? I became embarrassed to admit that I was indeed the subject of his thesis. What powerful force made him to make such radical change? Some privacy issues caught by the Chinese KGB while he was in Beijing? Even this reason is not strong enough to such a degree. Only money could be so powerful.

Now Western academia has a lot of talk of how the Western democracy seems to encounter a fundamental crisis. Various discussions eventually focused on to one point: the interference and control of the democratic politics by big capital. So Deng Xiaoping had wisely seen the weakness of the Western democracy. He changed that famous Communist Party's slogan of "Proletarier aller Lander, vereinigt euch!" into "Unite the world Capitalists to overthrow the people's revolt!" Relying on this political principle the Communist Party of China has survived the trend of the fall of communism till this day.

"Let the capitalists to invest in China and to sell us some goods, then they have to listen to us and to help us to suppress the Chinese people, and even to help us to overthrow the Western democracy". In recent years as the capitalists are getting wealthier and wealthier, people in many countries are getting poorer and poorer. Western democracy is increasingly being viewed with suspicion; the discontent of the people is on the rise in the West. Distrust of politicians has gathered into a global trend, which provides a correct answer to what is in this US presidential election called the Trump phenomenon.

People are puzzled: Are not scholars saying that naturally capitalism supports democracy? How suddenly you say capitalists support tyranny? This is not in line with the popular opinion and the theoretical way of the scholars. So I suddenly realized that these scholars are taking someone's money, or might take money in the future. If not, then their brains are damaged, or they lack the ability to think, thus having to follow the others like parrots.

The reality is against this "natural theory", and thinking is also against this "natural theory". Karl Marx was right: "Capital favors the places with cheapest labor and highest profit". Yet a democratic system precisely does not guarantee these two, while tyrant system is precisely to ensure these two points. What the capitalists will like naturally? These scholars of "natural theory" precisely lied, if they are not suffering brain damages.

As the problems appeared in the existing electoral system, the capitalists are able to unite and to control politics with ingenious ways. But the democratic system has ensured the ultimate political control by the people. Whether Trump or Sanders win or lose, the people's will of opposition has been deeply implanted in the Western politics, and has been reversing the tendency, and has been limiting the erosion of democratic institutions by the tyranny of the Communist Party and various tyrants.

This successful counterattack by the Chinese Australians indicates the values of democracy and freedom can overcome the money of the capitalists. The Trump phenomenon popularity that is going around the world, also illustrates the ultimate control of the democratic electoral system is still in the hands of the people. Democracy is a rational system of self-correcting function; time will eventually stand on the side of the people.

澳洲华人的胜利也是澳洲价值观的胜利

最近一个多月以来，澳大利亚民运团体、法轮功团体和无政治倾向华侨团体对亲共侨团进行了一场针锋相对的斗争。悉尼和墨尔本市政府宣布取消纪念毛泽东音乐会，标志着他们取得了初步的胜利。

事情的起因是澳大利亚的亲共社团太嚣张了，竟然明目张胆地以纪念暴君毛泽东的名义举办音乐会。这是对全体澳洲人民所遵从的民主自由价值观的挑战，是对全体澳洲人民的挑战，也是对逃离中共暴政、向往自由民主的大多数华人的挑战。

这种嚣张的挑战激怒了澳洲人民，以当地华人为首，他们掀起了抗议和反对的浪潮。包括澳洲有良知的政治家在内的抗议行动，促使澳大利亚政府下令，悉尼和墨尔本两市政府采取行动，取消了这场小丑式的闹剧。

有趣的是，这场闹剧的组织者似乎是被打懵了，不知道如何应对。他们居然想出了一个什么理由，说是因为可能引起暴力冲突所以如何如何。其实澳洲民运和法轮功团体从来都是遵循澳大利亚社会的价值观，以和平理性非暴力的原则进行政治斗争。只有中共花钱支持的亲共团体才信奉毛泽东的暴力斗争论。

据说他们确实准备对抗议的人群进行暴力骚扰。在以往的抗议活动中，亲共团体确实搞过小规模的暴力骚扰，而且被澳大利亚警方所容忍。这些都被澳大利亚媒体记录下来了。当时的澳大利亚总理府和议会被大资本所控制，相当亲共。当年的总理现在在纽约充当大财团支持的亲共智库的总裁，可见当年确实是东风压倒了西风。共产党的组织和意识形态大规模入侵了民主的澳大利亚。

有这样的政治背景，所以澳洲的亲共团体才敢于如此嚣张，明目张胆地纪念全球最大的暴君。甚至在北京他们都不敢如此明目张胆，还要以隐藏标题暗度陈仓的方式来纪念暴君。而且立即遭到从共产党上层到基层民众的集体抗议，最后没人敢承担责任，互相推诿不了了之。但在澳洲他们竟敢旗帜鲜明地公然纪念暴君，这不能不说明全球大资本所起的反动作用，超越了共产党本身。

澳大利亚前总理陆克文就是个最标准的案例。九十年代末他还只是个普通的议员，在议会里第一次会见我时得意洋洋的拿出他的毕业论文。足有两英寸厚的论文的标题就是民主墙时期的魏京生。不用问，到那时为止他是个坚定的民主派，而且十分反共。

在从小议员到总理的过程中，他就变了。他的所作所为都说明他就像是北京的代理人，澳大利亚空前绝后的亲北京的总理。如果他能像普京那样连任，估计澳大利亚可能会转变成共产党国家阵营的新成员。

人家问我他是不是有一本以魏京生为标题的毕业论文？他为什么会变成这样？我都不好意思承认我是他毕业论文的主题。是什么强大的力量使他有这样彻底的转变呢？是在北京任职期间被中国的克格勃抓住了什么隐私吗？这个理由还不够强大到如此地步。只有金钱才能够如此强大。

现在西方学术界已经有很多议论了，西方的民主制似乎遭遇了根本的危机。各种议论最终都集中到了一点上，就是大资本对民主政治的干扰和控制。所以邓小平很明智地看到了西方民主制的弱点，把共产党“全世界无产者，联合起来”的口号改为“全世界资产者联合起来，打倒人民群众的反抗”。依靠这个政治纲领，中国共产党熬过了共产主义垮台的潮流，一直熬到了今天。

“让资本家们到中国来投资，来卖给我们东西，他们就不得不听我们的话，不得不帮助我们镇压中国老百姓，甚至帮助我们打倒西方的民主制”。近年来随着资本家们越来越富有，各国老百姓越来越贫穷。西方的民主制越来越受到人们的怀疑，西方人民的不满也在上升。对政客们的不信任已经汇集成全球性的潮流，这就是美国大选中所谓川普现象的正确答案。

人们很疑惑，学者们不都在说资本主义天然就支持民主吗？怎么突然就说资本家支持暴政呢？这不符合流行的舆论和学者们的理论呀。所以我突然想到，这些学者在拿谁的钱，或者将来可能拿谁的钱。如果没有，那就是脑残，缺乏思考能力，人云亦云。

因为现实反对这种天然的理论，思考也反对这种天然的理论。马克思说得很对：资本最喜欢的是劳动力最廉价，资本利润率最高的地方。民主制度恰恰不保证这两点，而专制暴政恰恰可以保证这两点。资本家天然会喜欢什么呢？天然派的学者们恰恰是撒了谎。如果不是脑残的话。

现有选举制度出了问题，使得资产阶级联合起来有了控制政治的巧妙方法。但是民主制还是保证了人民对政治的最终控制权。无论川普和桑德斯是输是赢，人民的反抗意志已经深深地植入了西方的政治，已经在扭转政治倾向性，已经在限制共产党和各种暴政对民主制度的侵蚀。

澳大利亚华人的这场成功的反击战，说明民主自由的价值观念可以战胜资本家的金钱。风行全球的川普现象，也说明民主选举制度的最终控制权还在老百姓手里。民主制是一个有自我修正功能的合理制度，时间最终会站在人民的一边。
