"Nationalization of the Military Is the Fundamental Guarantee of Social
Stability in China" by YAO Cheng to be Held on March 22, 2017
The
fourth of "The Way Out for China" seminars by the Wei Jingsheng
Foundation will be held:
On Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 2pm to
5pm (followed by a dinner at 6pm)

Subject: "Nationalization of the
Military Is the Fundamental Guarantee of Social Stability in China"
The main speaker of the seminar: Yao Cheng
This
seminar titled "Nationalization of the Military Is the Fundamental
Guarantee of Social Stability in China" will examine the structure and
internal operation of the People's Liberation Army, the Chinese military that
has been under the command and leadership of the Chinese Communist Party for
the past several decades. It will
review the recent purges and arrests of many top level Chinese generals, as
well as the ongoing protests of tens of thousands of veterans nationwide, which
has led to many alerts of social stability in China.
This
seminar invites veterans from the Chinese military to review the current
situation related to the military and its veterans. These veterans advocate the nationalization of the Chinese
military and will outline the importance of nationalization. In particular, Yao Cheng, the main
speaker of the seminar, is a former Colonel in the Chinese Navy Command
Headquarters, who is very knowledgeable of the current military status and the
ongoing situation with the veteran protests all over China.
During
the seminar, we will provide drinks and snacks as well as 20 minutes of break
time, followed by a dinner. We
welcome all the participants to attend our dinner. Anyone interested in attending the seminar please register

The
Wei Jingsheng Foundation has been holding "The Way Out for China"
seminar series since September 2016 in an effort to take the initiative and
seek the best possible ways for China to collectively respond, discuss, and
take actions concerning the upcoming social, political, economic and cultural
changes in China.
Each
separate seminar will target one particular subject of interest or an ongoing
event in China. It will take the
format of starting with a presentation by a honored/invited speaker about the
subject of the seminar, followed by other speakers and discussion. We welcome contribution and discussion
from the attendees at the seminars, and suggestions for future seminar topics
and content, etc.

魏京生基金会将在2017年3月22日星期三下午2点至5点在美国首都华盛顿举办第四期"中国的出路"系列研讨会。这场题为“军队国家化是中国社会稳定的根本保证”的研讨会将回顾过去几十年始终在中国共产党的指挥和领导下的中国人民解放军的架构和内部运作。尤其是近来许多高级中国将领被清除和逮捕，以及全国数万名退伍军人的持续抗议与上访，都已拉响了中国社会不稳定的警报。
本次研讨会邀请熟知中国军队的退伍军人介绍中国军队及退伍军人的现况并推出问题解决之良方。
