The Americans Finally Experience the Rogue Style of the Communist Party

Today, I heard that the US-DPRK Summit in Hanoi collapsed and I couldn't help but to have a knowing smile. President Trump and the average American always imagine the Communist Party to be as civilized as themselves. Therefore, when they were dealing with the Communist Party, they will always misjudge the other, thinking that they can negotiate with good intention. This time, not only President Trump, but also the majority of Americans understands that it is common for Communist leaders to play rogue.

The conclusion of Trump after he finished this summit early was that the other party's asking price is too high, and the United States cannot accept the request of the North Korea. Kim Jong-un's negotiating method is not to say no directly, but to offer negotiations with conditions that the other party cannot accept. Trump is an experienced negotiator and immediately knows that there is no point to continue the negotiations.

Trump said at the press conference that his most important feeling is that China has a clear influence on North Korea, but China has no effect. His second important feeling is that North Korea is a country that makes decisions independently and does not accept the influence of others.

This statement will immediately spread to the controlled media in North Korea, and be widely publicized, and strengthen the authority of Kim Jong-un to help him get rid of the crisis of his unstable power with declining prestige. So for Kim Jong-un, the negotiations were very successful.

Public opinion unanimously criticized Trump's eagerness to talk with Kim Jong-un, as it was a judgment error of wishful thinking. But it is still a good thing that he quickly saw the situation and withdrew from the negotiations and avoided an even worse agreement. Expressing a less intense anger with the early exit, he poured cold water on Kim Jong-un, and also gave the other party the opportunity to continue negotiations. He did not act in arbitrary and needs to go home and discuss the next strategy with his assistants.

As President Trump said, North Korea is a country that makes decisions independently. Kim Jong-un already lost his patience with the directives from Communist China which treated him as "a little brother" in the gang. It is unbearable for him to sacrifice the interests of the North Korean dictatorship for the stupidity of Xi Jinping. Before the negotiation of the Hanoi Summit, Trump released too much goodwill to Xi Jinping, and even a fool could see the hidden conditions.

This time Kim Jong-un had to tear his face with China, although China will reduce trade with North Korea to punish him. On the day after the Hanoi Summit collapsed, the stock market in Northeast China plummeted. Everyone is expecting retaliation against Kim Jong-un. But the improved prestige will help strengthen the rule of Kim Jong-un in North Korea. Taking the lighter of the two evils, Kim Jong-un won this round of the game. After all, his own interests are more important than any false "brotherhood".

Many observers predict the unexpected outcome from the Hanoi Summit will directly affect Sino-US trade negotiations. The reason is that Xi Jinping did not honor his private commitments and failed to convince Kim Jong-un. In fact, Xi Jinping did make an effort, but he also indeed boasted beyond his capacity, or say overestimated his own greatness.

The fact that Xi Jinping wanted to arrange a trade agreement between himself and Trump right there in Hainan, right after the Hanoi Summit between Trump and Kim, indicated that Xi thought he could make Kim to do what he wants. As Kim Jong-un frequently visits Beijing, it is for sure that he promised Xi as Xi wanted. In fact, Xi Jinping was cheated by Kim's smiling face and was stabbed from back. This also reflects that his IQ is indeed not high, or is being fooled by the flatterers.

For Kim Jong-un, the most important thing is not to retain nuclear weapons, but how to overcome the economic difficulties. He offended China to protect his prestige, so his first priority would be how to solve the economic crisis. This would be a good opportunity for South Korea's President Moon Jae-in to support Kim Jong-un. For Moon, a hug with Kim Jong-un to express peace, rationality and non-violence, would get himself additional votes. Therefore, Kim Jong-un is not so afraid of Xi Jinping.

For the United States, it would be a political failure of President Trump to aid Kim Jong-un without Kim's concessions. How to convince President Moon not to aid Kim Jong-un unconditionally is the urgent task right now. The United States should seize this small window of opportunity to force Kim Jong-un to at least promise to stop enriching nuclear materials or to surrender its list of nuclear weapons and missiles, for further verification.

It is not impossible to force Kim Jong-un to make concessions. Kim just does not want to give in to Xi Jinping, instead of not wanting to solve his economic problems. Because even for a Communist regime, it would rather believe in a gentleman than a villain.

今天听到美朝峰会谈崩了，不禁会心地一笑。川普总统和一般的美国人，总是把共产党想象成和自己一样的文明人。所以在和共产党打交道时总是会误判对方，以为可以好说好商量。这一次不但让川普总统，而且让大多数美国人明白，共产党国家领导人耍流氓也是平常事。

川普提前结束会谈后的结论，就是对方漫天要价，美国不可能接受朝鲜的要求。金正恩的谈判手法是，不直接说不，而用对方不可能接受的条件来拒绝谈判。川普是个谈判老手，立刻就知道继续谈判没有任何意义。

川普在记者会上说到他的最重要的感觉，就是中国对朝鲜有明显的影响力，但是中国没起作用。他的第二重要的感觉，就是朝鲜是个独立做决定的国家，不接受别人的影响。

这个说法会立刻传播到朝鲜受控制的媒体上，被大肆宣传，而且能够加强金正恩的权威，帮助他摆脱威信下降政权不稳的危机。所以对金正恩来说，谈判非常成功。

虽然舆论一致批评川普急于和金正恩谈，是犯了判断错误的一厢情愿。但是他迅速看清形势退出谈判，避免达成更糟糕的协议，还是一件好事。用提前退出的方式表达不太强烈的愤怒，即给金正恩泼了一瓢冷水，也给对方保留了继续谈判的机会。他需要回家和助手们讨论下一步的策略，没有独断专行。

正如川普总统所说，朝鲜是个独立做出决定的国家。金正恩被作为中共的小兄弟被呼来喝去，早就不耐烦了。为了习近平的愚蠢而牺牲朝鲜独裁政权的利益，是可忍孰不可忍。在河内谈判之前，川普对习近平释放了过分的善意，连傻子都可以看出背后的条件。

这一次金正恩不得不和中国撕破脸了。虽然中国会减少对朝鲜的贸易来惩罚他。河内谈崩了之后当天，中国东北的股票市场就暴跌。大家都预计到小习会报复小金了。但是威信提高有助于加强小金的统治。两害相权取其轻，金正恩还是赢了这一局。毕竟他自己的利益，比什么虚伪的兄弟情义更重要。

很多观察家预测河内的意外，会直接影响到中美贸易谈判。原因就是习近平没有兑现其私下的承诺，没有能够说服小金。其实习近平确实作了努力，但也确实吹了牛皮，或者说高估了自己的伟大。

他想在川金河内会谈之后，就安排在海南进行川习会敲定贸易协议，正说明他自以为可以搞定小金。小金频繁访问北京，肯定对小习信誓旦旦。实际上他被小金的当面笑嘻嘻给骗了，背后挨了一刀。这也反映出他的智商确实不高，或者是被马屁精们给耽误了。

现在对金正恩来说，最重要的已经不是保留核武器，而是如何度过经济难关。为了保护自己的威信而得罪了中国，下一步如何解决经济危机就是他的优先选项。这就是韩国的文在寅支持金正恩的好机会了。对文在寅来说，和金正恩拥抱一下表示和平理性非暴力，就可以增加选票。所以金正恩不那么害怕习近平。

对美国来说，不让小金做出让步就援助他，是川普总统政治上的失败。如何说服文在寅，不要在无条件的前提下援助金正恩，是摆在当前的紧急要务。美国应该抓住这个短暂的时机，迫使金正恩至少承诺停止浓缩核材料，或者交出核武器和导弹的清单，以便下一步的核查。

迫使金正恩作出让步，不是没有可能。他只是不愿意向习近平让步，而不是不想解决经济问题。因为对共产党来说，他们也宁愿相信君子，不愿相信小人。
