Dear
friends,
On
Monday, September 30, 2019, ahead of the 70th anniversary of the founding of
People's Republic of China, the Wei Jingsheng Foundation and many organizations
and offices will hold a series of events observing and condemning the human
rights records under the past 70 years of the Communist regime in China.
We
will hold a seminar about China in the US Congress room HVC201 (House Capitol
Visitor Center 201) from 1pm to 3pm.
This seminar will review the current and past 70 years of China under
the Communist regime, especially concerning its human rights record.
The
Chair of the CECC (Congressional-Executive Commission on China), Rep. McGovern
is sponsoring this event.

CECC commissioner
Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur will give statements.
The Wei Jingsheng Foundation,
The European Parliament
Liaison Office in Washington DC,
Victims of Communism Memorial
Foundation,
International Campaign for
Tibet,
the Chinese Democratic Party,
LA Democracy Platform,
Uyghur World Congress,
Uyghur Human Rights Project,
Chinese Tibetan Friendship Society,
Independent Federation of the
Chinese Students and Scholars (IFCSS), and
many
organizations and communities are also cosponsoring this event, with speakers
including diplomats, China scholars, human rights and democracy activists and
community leaders, etc.
The
title of the seminar is: 70 Years of Criminal Communist Rule in China. The subjects of the seminar will mainly
concentrate on:
1)
Review the past 70 years of crime of the Communist regime in China;
2)
Plea to stop the Communist infiltration in the free world;
3)
Review of the Hong Kong situation and expressing our support to the people of
Hong Kong.
Before
this seminar, the Wei Jingsheng Foundation, the Chinese Democratic Party, LA
Democracy Platform, IFCSS, etc. will hold a rally protesting the brutality of
human rights abuses in the past 70 years in front of the Chinese embassy
(located at: 3505 International Pl NW, Washington, DC 20008), from 10:30am to
12 noon.
After
the seminar in the Congress, we will be marching from the Visitors' Center of
the Congress towards the southeast quadrant of the Ellipse in front of the
White House (just north of the Constitution Avenue) between 15th and 17th NW in Washington DC, from 4pm to 5pm.
From
5:00pm to 6:30pm on September 30, 2019, a demonstration calling for human
rights and democracy in China will be in the southeast quadrant of the Ellipse
in front of the White House.
We

我们将在下午1点至下午3点在美国国会HVC201会议室（国会大厦访客中心201）举行有关中国的研讨会。该研讨会将回顾中共政权下的过去70年及现今状况，特别是关于中国的人权记录。
