Joining Forces to Suppress the Chinese Communist Party, the "Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China" Is Formed

[NTD News on June 06, 2020] In the face of the growing threat of the Chinese Communist regime to the world, members of Congress and politicians in eight democratic countries announced the establishment of the "Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China" on Friday to join hands in responding to the Communist regime's challenges.

US Senator Marco Rubio of the Republican Party of the United States: "China under the rule of the Chinese Communist Party represents a global challenge."

European Parliament member Miriam Lexmann:"One which will define the next century."

Michael Brand, Member of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany in the German Parliament: "It is a challenge which touches all of us."

On Friday (June 5), the "Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China" announced its founding.  Its purpose is to promote deeper cooperation among members of parliaments in democratic countries, to coordinate countermeasures on relevant issues in China, and to formulate positive and strategic response plans.

The Alliance will focus on five major issues, including: Safeguarding international rules-based order; Upholding human rights; Promoting trade fairness; Strengthening security; Protecting national integrity.

Wei Jingsheng, an advisor to the new Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China, said: "Now not only from the human rights perspective, but also from the economic, military, and cultural perspectives, the Chinese Communist regime has threatened all aspects.  There must be a new policy toward China."

At present, the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China includes some members and politicians from eight countries of the United States, Britain, Japan, Australia, Canada, Germany, Norway, and Sweden, and the European Parliament.  The Alliance has 20 co-chairs.

Wei Jingsheng, an advisor to the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China: "Democratic countries will unite and adopt a consistent China policy to reverse the Chinese Communist Party's retrograde actions, so that there will be a certain containment.  In particular, now the spread of the Chinese Communist Party's pneumonia virus has reminded everyone that this is not just related to policies on China by one particular country, but to the whole human race."

As one of its advisors, Wei Jingsheng believes that the alliance involves the participation of the two parties, even multiple parties in the USA and various countries, and represents a wide range of public and political opinion.  They will jointly formulate policies to facilitate the implementation of the administrative departments of various countries.

Rep. John McKay of the Liberal Party of the Canadian Parliament: "The world wants and needs China, a country of profound tradition, culture and industry."

Margarete Bause, Member of the Green Party of the German Parliament: "However, no country should be able to freely jeopardize global values ??and human rights."

US Republican Senator Marco Rubio: "We, the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China, stand together to coordinate the responses to this great challenge."

NTD reporter Kitty Wang reported from Washington, the capital of the United States.
