Xi Jinping's Wolf Warrior Diplomacy

Xi Jinping's wolf warrior diplomacy is world-renowned. The climax of this Wolf Warriors diplomacy was to declare the Sino-British Joint Declaration an outdated historical document, and then forcefully pass the Hong Kong National Security Law. This approach seemed to have exceeded the collapse limit and caused a global rebound all at once. The disgust of the American people towards the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Xi Jinping has risen by 30%, to more than 75% total.

This public opinion is the background behind various sanctions that have been introduced recently. In this context, the more you do, the more popular it will be, so why shouldn’t a democratic government that relies on the support of the voters take these measures? Therefore, in the recent situation where the two political parties in the USA have been severely split, only on the anti-Communist stand are both parties highly aligned. Some Communist advisors are still imagining that they will be able to escape this difficulty after a change of US government after the general election. This is called as wishful thinking.

Recently, observers discovered an abnormal phenomenon and they all came to ask me what happened. I have also observed the same phenomenon, which is that the CCP is quietly extending an olive branch to the United States. From its foreign minister to its ambassador to the United States, they are telling the Americans that they do not want a delink of the countries and are willing to discuss everything. Yet on the other side, the CCP pretends with a tough face and says to its domestic followers: We are still a powerful country. What is going on?

It turned out to be a situation of keeping a low profile while hiding one’s sword. The CCP has made two faces: on the one hand, it fools the Americans and continues to reap the benefits of economic diplomacy; on the other hand, it instigates anti-American, anti-democratic and freedom movements in China and maintains a one-party dictatorship. It's a pity that now this conspiracy to step back is hard to succeed. When others think you are a sheep, you can cheat and succeed in sheep's clothing. When others have recognized the ugly face of your wolf ambition, you can't deceive people no matter how you keep a low profile and hide your sword. At least you cannot deceive most people.

Why has the CCP returned to the policy of keeping a low profile while hiding its sword, and no longer shows its ambition to dominate the world? That’s because under the gradual strengthening of sanctions by the United States, the CCP has already felt that the situation is not in its favor: the siege of diplomacy, the loss of international markets, and the arrival of natural and man-made disasters in China have forced some officials with normal thinking to realize that continuing this wolf warrior diplomacy is self-destructive. Also they know that the international community is no longer so easy to deceive. Only by mobilizing all forces and keeping a low profile while hiding the sword, can they protect the one-party dictatorship system and continue to oppress and exploit the Chinese people.

As a result, many American politicians and scholars who have been nurtured by the CCP for many years have also jumped out to escort the Communist regime. The targets of their attacks focused on the four anti-Communist King Kong’s in the Trump administration: Secretary of State Pompeo; Attorney General Barr; FBI Director Christopher Wray; and White House National Security Advisor and Deputy Advisor O'Brien and Pottinger. Some of these politicians and scholars were shy to say things clearly, some were blatantly arrogant. The weirdest among them is Mr. Haass of the Council of Foreign Relations. His famous saying is: “How can you ‘not speak of China but of the Chinese Communist Party,’ as if there is a China apart from the Party”? This is basically the American edition of People's Daily in China.

The weird part is that such a big titled official and scholar has no basic common sense. Doesn’t he know that the people in the former Soviet Union and the USSR are not the same concept? Doesn’t he know that the Iraqi people and Saddam Hussein are not the same concept? Doesn’t he know that the North American colonies and the British kings were not the same concept? When will a dictator party without elections represent the people of the whole country? This is the argument of the autocratic party. How can politicians and scholars from democratic countries really have no such common sense? Ordinary people may be confused, but I think there is only one explanation for the elites who say so.

Over the years, the CCP has achieved certain results in its external propaganda and its United Front. Of course, the backing behind these results is money and interests. It is indeed very profitable for the CCP to use the hard-earned money of the Chinese people to support a group of elite thugs who oppress the Chinese people. Mr. Deng Xiaoping's cat theory is indeed the crystallization of thousands of years of bureaucratic political wisdom, by which method it is more than easy to deal with kind-hearted Western people.

However, it is more cruel when they deal with their own CCP official colleagues. You can ask the Communist officials who are serving sentences in prisons to see if they are suffering. I have been fortunate enough to meet a few; not now, as now their treatment is even more cruel than in the past. Everyone says these officials deserved it, including the prison guards.

习近平的战狼外交

习近平的战狼外交可谓举世闻名。战狼外交的高潮，就是说中英联合声明是过时的历史文件，然后强行通过了港版国安法。这一做法就像是超过了崩溃极限，一下子造成了全球反弹。光是美国人民对中共和习近平的恶感就一下子上升了百分之三十，或者说超过了四分之三。

这就是最近各种制裁措施纷纷出台的民意背景。在这个背景之下，做得越多就越得民心，靠选民支持的民主政府何乐而不为呢？所以在最近两党分裂严重的局面下，唯独在反共的立场上两党高度一致。某些共产党的狗头军师还在那儿幻想，大选改换政府后就可以躲过这一难。正所谓痴心妄想。

最近观察家们发现一个反常的现象，都来问我这是怎么回事儿？我也观察到中共在悄悄地向美国伸出橄榄枝，从外长到驻美国大使都在告诉美国人我们还是不要脱钩，什么都好商量。另一面却装出一副强硬的面孔对国内喷子们说：我们还是厉害的国。这是怎么回事儿？

原来还是韬光养晦的那一套。中共做出两副面孔：一面忽悠美国人，继续捞取经济外交的好处；另一面在国内煽动反美反民主自由的运动，维护一党独裁的政治。可惜现在这个退一步的阴谋已经难以得逞了。在别人以为你是绵羊的时候，你可以披着羊皮欺骗得逞。在别人已经认清你狼子野心的丑恶面目之时，你再韬光养晦也骗不了人了。至少骗不了大多数人。

为什么中共要回到韬光养晦的政策，不再展露称霸世界的野心了呢？那是因为在美国逐步加强的制裁措施下，中共已经感到大事不妙：外交的围困，国际市场的丧失，国内天灾人祸的到来，迫使一些还有正常思维的官员认识到：继续战狼外交就是自取灭亡之道。而且他们知道国际社会已经不再那么好欺骗了。只有动员一切力量并且韬光养晦，才可能保护一党专政的体制，才能继续压迫剥削中国老百姓。

于是，多年豢养的美国政客学者也都纷纷跳出来为共产党保驾护航。他们攻击的目标集中在川普政府反共的四大金刚身上：国务卿蓬培奥；司法部长巴尔；联邦调查局长克里斯托佛?雷；白宫国家安全顾问和付顾问奥布莱恩和博明。有些羞羞答答阴阳怪气，有些明目张胆理直气壮。其中最奇葩的是外交关系理事会的巴斯先生，他的名言是：怎么能把中国人民和中国共产党分开呢？这基本就是人民日报美国版。

他的奇葩就在于这么大的一个官员学者，连点基本常识都没有。不知道苏联人民和苏共不是一个概念吗？不知道伊拉克人民和萨达姆不是一个概念吗？不知道当年的北美殖民地和英国国王不是一个概念吗？什么时候一个不经选举的独裁党就能代表全国人民了？这是专制独裁党的论调，民主国家出身的政客学者真的没有这点儿常识吗？普通老百姓可能是糊涂，精英们好像只能有一种解释了。

中共多年来统战加大外宣还是有一定效果的，当然这背后的靠山就是金钱和利益。用中国人民的血汗钱豢养一批压迫中国人民的精英打手，确实一本万利。邓老先生的猫论果然是几千年官僚政治智慧的结晶，对付善良的西方人民游刃有余。

不过用来对付他们自己的官场同僚，就比较残酷了。可以问问那些在监狱中服刑的官员们，看看他们有没有一肚子苦水。我有幸见过几个，不是现在，现在比过去还要残酷。大家都说活该，包括看守警察。
