More than 400 Democracy Groups and Individuals Participated in the Memorial Service of Dr. Wang Ce

Dr. Wang Ce, Chairman of the Chinese Republican Party, died of illness at 1 pm on January 4, 2021 in Valencia, Spain, at the age of 71.

Liao Tienchi, Wang Guoxing, Li Hengqing, Li Li, Tang Yuanjun, Chen Liqun and many friends jointly proposed and decided to hold a cross-border, multi-organizations and cross-ethnicity commemoration of Dr. Wang Ce through the Internet, to pay tribute and remember Wang Ce, as well as to spread Wang Ce's thoughts and spirit far and wide.

On January 24, 2021, friends living in all corners of the world gathered at the Zoom network venue by Mingjing TV to hold the "Tribute to the Chinese Democratic Movement Leader Dr. Wang Ce, a Global Memorial". The memorial activity was co-hosted by Liao Tienchi, vice chairman of the Peace Committee of International PEN and chairwoman of the Voice of Europe, and Li Hengqing, the student leader of the "89 Democracy Movement".

After the prayers of Pastor Roland Kühne, Wei Jingsheng, Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition, spoke first. Wei Jingsheng said: I am very sorry and sad to learn that Wang Ce has passed away. We must commemorate people like Wang Ce! Wei said: We are here today to commemorate Mr. Wang Ce, I am very moved. Mr. Wang Ce has always consistently supported the democracy movement and was persistent to the end. Although there have been many people who have withdrawn from the democracy movement in the past twenty to thirty years, the worst are some speculators who have not only quit, but to insult the democracy movement instead. Wei Jingsheng recalled the times when he went to the United Nations in Geneva and called for Wang Ce’s release, while Wang was behind bars in China. Wei said that was because Wang returned to China with a good-hearted desire to negotiate with the Communist regime and discuss the possibility of a peaceful evolution. As a result, he was arrested and persecuted. Wang’s action confirmed that the Communist Party is a vicious wolf.

Huang Ciping, secretary-general of the Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition, also said in Wang’s memorial service: The friend we have known to each other for decades has passed away, and there is one less like-minded person. She said: We had one more layer of shared commonality, that we were all oversea Chinese students studying in the United States in the 1980s. Huang Ciping recalled her first encounter with Wang Ce more than 30 years ago, during the joint effort to establish the Chinese Liberal and Democratic Party by members of the Independent Federation of the Chinese Students and Scholars and the Chinese Democratic Alliance in 1990. At that time, everyone thought highly of themselves and the struggle between the two factions was fierce, but they ignored the fact that they shared the same goals and even the similar background. Huang Ciping also emphasized that those with aspirations need not only words and deeds, but also a spirit of sacrifice like Wang Ce. She recalled the time when Wang Ce was imprisoned 20 years ago, when she went to the United Nations in Geneva to help Wei Jingsheng to support and to call for Wang’s freedom, and she witnessed how difficult it was for the family members. Huang Ciping said: Not only should we sympathize with those family members implicated and suffering, we must also admire Wang Ce's feat of daring to sacrifice himself.

At the memorial service there were about twenty of Wang Ce’s friends who spoke, including: Prof. Dr. Jhy-Wey Shieh, Dr. Wang Dan, Su Xiaokang, Chen Kuide, Professor Perry Link, Lobsang Nima, Dr. Wang Juntao, Dr. Wang Youcai, Professor Tseng Chien-yuan, Wang Guoxing, Chen Liqun, Lin Qiaoqing, Cai Yongmei, Dr. Lu Wenhe et al.

The family of Wang Ce specially asked Mr. Tian Mu, one of the organizers, to read their "Acknowledgement" to express their appreciation.

Seishu Makino, former member of National Diet of Japan, former Deputy Minister of Economics and Industry, and former Deputy Officer of Legal Affairs; Gao Yu, famous Chinese journalist; Wan Runnan, and Li Li also paid their respects to Wang Ce.

More than 400 people attended the memorial service via internet that also included: Tang Yuanjun, Wang Jinzhong, Liang Youcan, Zhu Xueyuan, Chen Weijian, Xue Wei, Xi Haiming, Zhong Jinjiang, Wang Min, Tang Jie, Changping, Zheng Yuan, Wang Hanwan, Xie Weiqin, Chen Zhonghe, Wu Qian , Song Shuyuan, Liu Gang (Denmark), Chen Heping, Jin Zhao, Xianglin, Yang Wei, Yu Dahai, Cao'an, Liu Weimin, Dong Peng, Huang Jiren, Lin Muchen, Li Dongcheng, Tang Guangzhong, Huang Ben, Zhao Xiaowei, Xu Yinglang, Yang Zheng , Ren Songlin, Wan Bao, Liang Cheng, Anna of IPK Media, Liu Yanzi, Xiao Jin, Zheng Qinhua, etc.

四百余人参加全球网络王策博士追思会

中国共和党主席王策博士，因病于 2021年1月4日下午1点在西班牙瓦伦西亚（Valencia）逝世，享年71岁。

由廖天琪、王國興、李恒青、李力、唐元雋、陳立群等許多朋友共同建言并决定，跨國界跨疆域跨組織跨族裔，通過網絡連線，共同來紀念王策，為王策祭奠，為王策送行，使王策的思想與精神遠播環宇。

2021年1月24日，分居在五湖四海的朋友，匯聚在由明鏡電視開設的Zoom網絡連線會場，舉行「致敬，中國民運志士王策——全球網絡王策博士追思會」，追思活動由國際筆會和平委員會副主席、歐洲之聲理事長廖天琪、「八九民運」學生領袖李恒青共同主持。

庫訥(Roland Kühne)牧師的祝禱后，中國民主運動海外聯席會議主席魏京生首先发言。魏京生说：聽說王策逝世了，非常惋惜與痛心，王策這樣的人，我們要好好紀念他！他在追思會上表示：我們今天在此紀念王策先生，我很感慨。王策先生是一直堅持民運立場不變、堅持到最後的一個人，儘管這二、三十年來出現了不少堅持不住退出民運圈的人，最糟糕的是一些投機分子，退出後甚至反過來辱罵民運。我們曾經在日內瓦為在中國身陷囹圄的王策先生呼籲，因為他抱著善良的願望回國，試圖同共產黨談判，商討和平演變的可能，結果遭致逮捕迫害，他以自己的行動證實了共產黨就是中山狼。

中国民主运动海外联席会议秘书长黄慈萍也发言表示：相知多年的朋友过世了，志同道合者又少了一个，更何况我们都是1980年代的留美学生。黄慈萍萍回忆了三十多年前首遇王策，尤其是1990年全美学自联与中国民联成员共组自由民主党的往事--当时大家自视甚高，两派斗争激烈，却忽略了其实我们目标甚至背景都相同之前提。黄慈萍还特别强调了有志者不仅仅需要言行，且还应有王策勇于牺牲的精神。她回忆了20年前王策入狱期间，去日内瓦联合国帮助魏京生声援呼吁其自由之往事，亲眼见证了作为家属是如何不易的艰难处境。黄慈萍表示：不仅仅应当同情那些受到牵连的家属，也更加敬佩王策敢于舍身饲虎的壮举。

追思會上，還有很约二十个王策的生前好友發言，其中包括：谢志伟、王丹、苏晓康、陈奎德、林培瑞(Perry Link)、洛桑尼玛、王軍濤、王有才、曾建元、王國興、陳立群、林樵清、蔡詠梅、陸文禾等。

王策家屬特意委托活動籌辦者之一的田牧先生宣讀了王策家屬的《答謝辭》。

日本前衆議院議員、前経済産業副大臣、前法務政務次官牧野聖修、中國著名記者高瑜、万润南、李力等也向王策表达了敬意。

通過網絡連線出席追悼會的還有：唐元雋、王進忠、梁友燦、朱學淵、陳維健、薛偉、席海明、鐘錦江、汪岷、唐婕、長平、鄭源、王涵萬、謝維勤、陳忠和、吳倩、宋書元、劉剛(丹麥)、陳和平、金召、相林、楊崴、于大海、草庵、劉偉民、董鵬、黃濟人、林牧晨、李東澄、湯光中、黃奔、趙曉薇、徐英朗、楊錚、任松林、萬寶、梁誠、安娜（光傳媒）、劉燕子、蕭勁、鄭欽華等世界各地400餘人士。
