Are Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin Allies?

-- Wei Jingsheng

Due to the crisis in Ukraine, many experts worry about the situation across the Taiwan Strait.  This has been extended to the danger that the Sino-Russian alliance poses to the security of the Asia-Pacific region, further concerns of the difficulties of global security strategy of the United States that cannot be dealt with, and such discussions that may not have to be worried about.

The core question is whether China and Russia can form an alliance, and what kind of alliance it would be.  What is more important is whether their mutual promises will be fulfilled even if they do form an alliance.  That's a credit issue.  First of all, the credit of both countries is not good, especially that of Russia, which has a habit of not keeping its promises since the Soviet era.  This has to do with the cult nature of the Communist Party, not a personal issue.

The common feature of all kinds of cults is that they do not recognize the common sense of mankind, which is “the principle of heaven” that the Chinese people love to talk about.  These cults absolutely believe that only their own set is the truth, and that the human beings who do not accept their set are not human, but only quasi-human.  Thus there is no psychological burden to exclude or deceive them.  Once in power, it would be an autocratic or authoritarian government with the unity of state and religion.  Therefore, a democratic government must be a government in which church and state are separated.  Although ancient China was an undemocratic government where religion and state were separated, a government that unifies the state and religion would be for sure a non-democratic government.

What are the governments of China and Russia?  One is an autocratic regime and the other is a quasi-autocratic authoritarian government.  The characteristics of autocracy and authoritarianism are as the saying in Chinese terms: one mountain does not allow the existence of two tigers.  They are even neighbors, so it would be good even when they are not fighting against each other -- only a fool would believe that they will be in an alliance.  Seventy years ago, Mao Zedong and Joseph Stalin formed an alliance.  But soon after, China and the Soviet Union broke up and fought each other, which forced Mao to make a 180-degree turn around and reluctantly shake hands with the President of the United States in order to confront the Soviet Union.

At least Mao cheated to be rewarded, thus he was able to expand the communist camp by the USA selling out South Vietnam.  However, the Communist Party of Vietnam is also an autocratic government, and it soon fought with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).  It used the weapons and food from the CCP to fight against the CCP, which is still a trauma in the CCP’s heart.  Under such a mentality dominated by historical trauma, will the majority of the CCP make friendly alliances with Russia?  Both China and Russia lack the foundation of public opinion and are only good to form a mutually deceitful alliance.

After World War II, Western powers returned all China’s territory that they invaded and occupied through unequal treaties.  Only Russia did not return the territory it got, without even an apology.  This is a fact known to all Chinese, and it is also the basic attitude of Russians’ mentality towards China.  For decades, the majority of the CCP was also indignant.  Is this a friend?  Can such neighbors form an alliance?  Only those who have brain damages will believe so.

Some people say that this is the way of international politics.  There are no permanent enemies, but only permanent interests.  This is in line with the cat theory of Deng Xiaoping.  Then why would the CCP not continue to slander itself and restore the relationship with the United States, which is its best interest?  The big capital of the United States are crying and shouting to ease relations.  Why should the CCP help Russia to offend the United States and Europe?  Also, why does it guarantee the blood transfusions to Russia, and pick out the roasted chestnuts from the campfire for its potential opponents?  It's indeed kind of silly.

I thought about it for a long time and found a reason for the CCP Secretary-General Xi Jinping.  It is Xi's group who grew up singing Russian songs such as "Katyusha" and "Hawthorn Tree" -- they were born close to the Soviet Union.  They even kneel and lick with fear, by calling the heir of the Soviet Union, Russia, a fighting nation.  They think that the United States and Europe are like themselves, needing to kneel and lick with fear.  By hold its back against the back of this Soviet big brother, they could play the game together against the democratic camp.

They didn't notice that Vladimir Putin is a KGB officer from the era of unfriendly Sino-Soviet relationships, not a generation who sang about Sino-Soviet friendship.  Putin does not have the habit of kneeling and licking the CCP, and even despises this gang of flattering thieves.  In fact, he is also constantly using Secretary-General Xi, who is good for both providing money and being used as a shield.  Putin likes this silly Xi who fell into the trap by himself yet Putin absolutely has no intention to help Xi to fight against the European and American camps.

On the contrary, the CCP Secretary-General Xi threw a lot of money to help Putin, in the way of a businessman who shouts loudly for his commence despite he loses money at the same time.  Xi is still waiting to be sanctioned together with Russia.  This dud is really not at an ordinary level.  What is pitiful are really the hundreds of millions of poor people in China, including these women who were abducted and trafficked in Xuzhou, who are exploited for the big money Xi spreads.
